For the Love of Lust

At night it’s the worst.
Everything’s quiet
And I think about today
I think about your day
You were working today
Half a mile away from me
And I could almost taste you
Tasting me
And your uniform… Oh, that uniform
I imagine it pressed against me
Steel cold around my wrists
I fantasise that you come
to me as I’m alone

But you can’t. I can’t.
You can’t even know what I dream about
Our words entwine like two figures longing

I imagine seeing you
Seeing me
There’s no Love there
But Lust is stronger
Hearts beat heavy
Breathing fast
Palms sweat
Trousers wet
Making it rain.
